Job Description

This is an opportunity to become the representative of a Scottish company looking to sell its fantastic range of products to the foodservice sector.

  • To take primary responsibility for developing the delivered Wholesaler business in the South East/West regions of the UK
  • To identify and cultivate new business opportunities that will satisfy customer needs
  • To develop and build relationships with key customer personnel to increase “pull through” business menu listings
  • To develop and build relationships with national accounts managers/Key account managers/Bdms at Foodservice companies in order to increase business through the “nominated lines” route
  • To meet customers at site locations across the southern regions
  • To devise and deliver promotional activities and marketing and assist at trade and promotional events
  • To achieve KPIs, including sales targets
  • To work individually or in conjunction with others within the Commercial and wider sale team within our client
  • To fully understand the competition
  • To participate in activities with national accounts customers, when required
  • To liaise with internal teams including Operations and NPD
  • To attend monthly team meetings at a central UK location

We are looking for candidates who already have experience in the foodservice sector and are almost ready to progress to National Account Manager level.

This job is an opportunity to do so, but we require experience of sales in the wholesale/food service business (ideally Bidvest and 3663), a track record of delivering business growth and achieving sales targets, knowledge of some of the key contacts and players in the food industry, an understanding of the key drivers in delivered wholesale, an understanding of industry best practice promotional techniques, category management experience, account management experience, good computer skills, strong presentation and communication skills as well as strong selling, negotiation and influencing skills.

Indicative Salary Range: £36000 - 45000 + car and 30 days holiday with commission on top of the £36k basic
